Honestly, I’ve always been intrigued by the postless deck but I have never actually tried one until now, so I may not be the best person to judge this one. The postless Vitamin is a bit challenging to build when compared to the more common Velocity style deck, and especially after building a Hadaly. The Vitamin is certainly easier when using heavier wire like clapton coils. I’m not holding any of this against the Vitamin after one encounter, and am willing to accept that it’s just the nature of the beast, combined with my inexperience.

I am disappointed however by the lack of a side fill port, as found on the Limitless RDTA, and also believe that Ystar is missing a segment of the market by not allowing for a single coil option with a plug. And I never thought I would say this, but: come on man…throw one of those tiny blue screwdrivers in the box.

All of that aside, there are some positives. The Vitamin vaped quite well and I like the look of the translucent ultem cap, which is often a premium upgrade (some aftermarket caps as high as 50 bucks). Functionally, ultem gives a cooler vape and the Vitamin cap includes spitback protection. And for you direct-to-battery fans, there’s enough 510 pin protruding to make even your grandma comfortable.

The Vitamin may have some faults but none are an dealbreaker for me. I’m not sure it is worth the full retail price if only because I’m spoiled and don’t want to fuss with a postless deck, but it vapes well and offers some nice touches – besides, who pays full retail?
